People development

Professional Development
Advertising Council Australia offers superior training programs, running courses by the industry for the industry. We offer significant member discounts for courses, as well as several members-only offerings such as IPA online and AWARD Creative Leadership. Members also have the opportunity to lecture, tutor, and in some cases, host our courses.

AILA (Advertising Industry Labour Agreement)
Exclusive access to the labour agreement negotiated with the federal government, in partnership with the Media Federation of Australia, to help address skills shortages in the advertising industry.

Salary Survey
Participate in our annual Salary Survey and access the powerful Salary Survey dashboard which includes 13 years of salary data. The dashboard provides benchmarks and trends for internal and external reporting purposes.

Codes & Compliance
The AANA Code of Ethics is the overarching code that all advertising and marketing communications (regardless of channel) should adhere to. The ACA in partnership with AdStandards provides members with valuable information and resources, offers members guidance in regard to campaign compliance, and delivers free online training workshops 3 times per year.

Sonder: Wellbeing Support
ACA is proud to announce its new partnership with Sonder, providing our members and their teams access to mobile-first confidential health and safety support anywhere, anytime. The service offers 24/7 access to well-being experts, clinical psychologists, nurses and in-person responders. Subscriptions are annual but there’s no minimum number of employees.

Legal Support
ACA members can access the members-only resource hub, where they can download a series of legal factsheets covering Trade Marks and Brand Protection, to Copyright and Defamation. These factsheets have been developed in conjunction with our legal industry partner, Stephen von Muenster (von Muenster Legal). Additionally, members can request legal advice from Von Muenster Legal ranging from topline (2 free per annum) to more complex at preferential ACA member rates.

Reconciliation Action Plan
Members have exclusive access to a suite of useful resources designed to support and guide individual agencies’ reconciliation programs, including webinars, factsheets and strategic workshop templates. 

Create Space Hub
Within the Create Space hub, members can access recordings of the action-specific webinars, and benefit from preferential pricing for HR policy reviews with leading employment law firm DKL.

AWARD
Established over 40 years ago, AWARD (Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association) is globally renowned as the region’s single most important group dedicated to raising creative standards across the advertising industry

AWARD Awards
The annual showcase of the best from the region, the AWARD Awards draws creative minds from NZ, to South East Asia, and across Australia. Members can nominate judges, and help set the industry benchmark for excellence.

Cannes LIONS
ACA is the official Cannes Lions representative in Australia, responsible for promoting the festival, nominating jurors for Cannes LIONS and Spikes Asia, and running the annual Young Lions Australia competition.

Value Based Pricing
